Thank you for your interest in Aultman Hospital's Residency Programs. Aultman Hospital, founded in 1892, has a long tradition of excellence in patient care with a deep commitment to Graduate Medical Education. The programs offered at Aultman Hospital are Family Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Transitional Residency, and an Osteopathic Rotating Internship. Two other residency programs, Diagnostic Radiology and Internal Medicine, are offered in association with another area hospital, Mercy Medical Center. Aultman provides education to medical professionals through the Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences, Aultman School of Radiologic Technology and many clerkships and electives offered to medical students.

With your residency, you enter a critical period of professional growth, establishing the groundwork of knowledge and clinical experience that will play an important role in shaping your medical career. Our residency programs emphasize teamwork in a friendly, supportive environment. Flexible training programs, combined with our faculty's strong commitment to teaching, make the difference as we prepare residents for the challenges of practicing medicine in the 21st century. With guidance, encouragement and ample personal instruction, our residents develop a wide base of clinical skills along with the maturity of judgment, critical responsibility and commitment to patient welfare so vital to the physician. In addition, our graduates who have wanted to further their training in specialized areas have been very successful in attaining fellowships in prestigious institutions around the country.

Aultman Hospital completed the construction of the Aultman Education Center, a state-of-the-art building that houses the Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences, the Health Science Library, Resident Study Area, Internal Medicine, Ob/Gyn and Family Medicine Clinical Offices, and the Department of Medical Education.
